Tango with Luz: Wednesdays, Jan. 8th – Feb. 19th, 2025
Luz Castineiras will be teaching our beginning tango class and intermediate tango class in January and February. In the intermediate class, we will focus on vals!
The beginner class is geared towards total beginners. For the intermediate class, we recommend that you have been dancing tango regularly for at least six months.
This dance class is taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers” and is inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.
Wednesdays, Jan. 8th through Feb. 19th
7:00-8:00 pm beginner class
8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm intermediate class
9:30-10:00 pm practica
The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions! Intermediate students are welcome to arrive at 8:00 to practice together with the beginners.
$25 general admission (single class)
$20 student with ID (single class)
Drinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge, across the hall from the ballroom. All ages are welcome in the dance classes.
We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St.
